13U Dragons

The DBA Dragons 13-U program is comprised of highly competitive baseball players throughout the Northern Virginia area. 13-U Dragons players are mostly 7th graders who are participating in their first or second season on the 90 foot diamond. DBA believes the most important year of development for a young baseball player is the year the player transitions to the 90 foot diamond.

DBA feels that quality coaching at the 13-U age level is imperative for the competitive ballplayer to improve and develop his skills. The Dragons program prides itself upon having one of the best coaching staffs in the Northern Virginia area.

The purpose of the DBA Dragons program is to prepare competitive players for top level high school baseball programs, on and off the field. The Dragons program holds its players responsible for their academics by periodically reviewing their performance in the classroom.

SPRING ’09 13-U DRAGONS TRYOUTS

When:
Saturday, January 10 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Sunday, January 11 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Saturday, January 17 10:30 a.m. – 12:00 noon

Where:
Dominion Baseball Academy
8827 Telegraph Rd., Lorton, VA, 22079.

Notes:

  • Players are expected to attend all tryout dates if possible.
  • Players must attend at least one tryout date to be eligible.
  • If a player cannot attend any of the above tryout dates, a make up tryout date before January 17 must be scheduled by request.
  • Tryouts are open to all players and free of charge.
  • Attending tryouts does not obligate the player to play for the Dragons, however, a commitment to the Dragons must be made by January 16.
  • The 13-U Dragons team will be selected on January 17.
  • 13-U Dragons Spring ‘09 season info will be passed out at tryouts.
  • The purpose of the Dragons program is to prepare its players for competitive high school baseball programs, on and off the field.
